Marisa Wesker

Intern

Marisa Wesker was the Spring 2021 Americorps service-member through Teton Science Schools. Marisa worked with NRCC to help plan and execute the 2021 Virtual Jackson Hole Wildlife Symposium. Her interests, while broad, intersected with NRCC’s priorities of conservation from all perspectives: ecological, political, social, economic, and personal. She created the first annual Wildlife-Human Coexistence Photography Contest and loved connecting with the wildlife advocates through NRCC’s community of researchers, artists, and experts. Marisa continues to serve NRCC by putting together the quarterly newsletter. Marisa holds a dual degree in Political Science & French from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She lives in Western Massachusetts and spends her free time hiking in the rain, poorly playing the guitar, and petting strangers’ dogs.
