Ben Chemel is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as a field researcher with the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON). Ben’s work focuses on long-term monitoring of terrestrial ecosystems, especially the impact of agriculture and natural resource development. He received his doctorate from Purdue University and specializes in the botany and ecology of the Intermountain West sagebrush steppe.
